IGOR evaluated driver cognitive workload and fatigue within a simulated protected-vehicle environment developed for LAND 121.
The simulator reproduced the physical demands of operating across difficult terrain. Human-in-the-loop trials then combined realistic vehicle movement with physiological and performance measures to examine how fatigue and physical stress affected attention, judgement and decision-making.
The work connected vehicle conditions, human performance and mission effectiveness—generating evidence that could not safely or consistently be obtained in the operational environment.
