Cognitive Workload in Tactical Command Systems
LAND 75 Battlefield Command Support
Australian Army, 2010
IGOR modelled the cognitive workload generated by tactical command-and-control tasks performed through the LAND 75 Battle Management System and Battlefield Command Support System.
Using IMPRINT and human-in-the-loop experimentation with Australian Army personnel, the work identified when information volume, task demands and system interactions began to exceed operator cognitive capacity and compromise performance.
